Lingfrost Watch open to all, two further worlds for anyone who signs the book, and the rules written out like a star chart.
Nobody is asked their name at the stile: Lingfrost Watch spins for every visitor on the home page or on its own page, with free play coins. Ermyn wants no email and no password, and there is nothing to tick.
Shutterwheel Midnight and Spatebeck Arch open once you sign Ermyn’s book, which is free and takes four fields: a nickname, an email address, a password and a tick to confirm you are 18 or over. No card field, no address and no phone number appear, because the observatory charges for nothing. Your page does two things: it holds your coins and progress until the next clear night, and it keeps the reels for grown-ups only. Delete it, and everything written on it, with one press of the button on your account page.
You begin with 100,000 free coins, plus whatever Lingfrost Watch has already paid out in this browser, and the ling, the dome room and the bridge all draw on that one tin, one level and one list of missions. The coins are virtual: they are never bought, sold, withdrawn or exchanged for anything, and no win on the fell has real-world value.
The observatory has no in-app purchases and no payment page at all.
Every world on the fell turns five reels over three rows. Wins pay from left to right, beginning on the first reel and continuing over neighbouring reels along fixed paylines. Each line takes an equal slice of your stake; paytable figures are multiples of the line bet, the one exception being the scatter, paid on the total stake. On each line only its brightest win, the top one, is paid.
| Round under the dome | What it does at the dome | Where on the fell it runs |
|---|---|---|
| Tumbling reels | Winning symbols vanish like shooting stars, the others drop down and fresh ones fall from above. Each further win in that chain pays more: x1 on the spin itself, then x2, x3, and x5 for every later tumble. | Spatebeck Arch |
| Rising multiplier | In free spins the multiplier keeps rising as the round goes on and cannot sink back before it ends. | |
| Hoar-frost wild respin | A wild on a paid spin that pays nothing freezes every wild in its place like hoar frost, and the remaining grid is spun again free of charge. | Lingfrost Watch |
| Last-reel respin | If a paid spin pays nothing but lands two scatters, the dome’s fifth reel spins once more for free, sweeping for a third. | Shutterwheel Midnight |
| Free spins at double pay under the stars | The most straightforward round: three scatters trigger free spins, and every win during them is paid at double. |
Every reel at the observatory holds a fixed strip of symbols. When you spin, an independent random stop on every strip is chosen by your browser’s random number generator. One spin never influences the next, and nothing reacts to your balance or to how many nights you have watched.
The return, hit frequency and feature frequency of every world on the fell are measured by running the game’s own code across millions of spins, then printed in its paytable. They apply to coin play in these free games alone and describe no real-money game.
Only adults of 18 and over may play at Fellside Observatory. All spins use virtual coins of no monetary value, which cannot be bought, sold, withdrawn or exchanged. You will find no coin shop and no payment page from the stile to the dome, no prize of real-world value is ever offered, and success here does not imply future success at real-money gambling.
